About Scrapbox

Scrapbox is a vibrant and community-driven non-profit organisation based in Norfolk, United Kingdom. Our mission is to promote sustainability, creativity, and accessibility by repurposing discarded materials into valuable resources for art, craft, and technology projects.

Our Story

Founded in 1995 by passionate individuals who saw the potential in what others considered waste, Scrapbox has grown into a thriving hub for artists, educators, and makers. We believe that every item has a second life waiting to be discovered, and our dedicated team works tirelessly to collect, process, and redistribute clean, reusable materials from local businesses.

What We Do

At Scrapbox, we run a reclaimed resources centre where imagination knows no bounds. Here’s how we make a difference:

  1. Resource Collection: We collaborate with local businesses to rescue materials that still have a useful purpose. From fabric scraps to electronic components, our inventory is a treasure trove of possibilities.
  2. Membership-Based Model: Anyone can join Scrapbox and enjoy the benefits of low-cost resources. Our annual membership fee is £10, or you can opt for a convenient £2 day membership per visit.
  3. Community Engagement: We host workshops, events, and creative sessions that inspire people of all ages. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, Scrapbox welcomes you with open arms.
  4. Environmental Impact: By diverting materials from landfills, we contribute to a greener planet. Our commitment to sustainability aligns with the global movement toward responsible consumption.
